advice on my wheels center caps

I want my back wheels to look the same as my front wheels.

Please look at the pictures. The front have these centers sticking out. I dont know what you call them. But the rear does not have these and I think it looks strange.

Here are some pics. Can you guys tell me how and with what I could solve this?

What do your back wheels look like? I just looked at your build thread. Your back wheels don't seem to have the centercaps. So maybe remove the front ones? Or maybe get some for the back?

The center sticking out on the front is your automatic locking 4WD hub. The rear wont have that so you could always do center caps to make them look a bit more similar.

Buy 4 matching center caps and cut a hole out of the front ones so the 4x4 control is accessible.

Those are auto hubs. Some chrome rear center caps will even it out.

what I lreally need is some pictures or links to suppliers.

I did know about the locking thing in front and not having it in the back.

But I am looking for a solution/product, that will make my rear wheels centers look like the front.

I already bought some 2nd hand center caps that look like this, but I think they are too different compared to the front. They are much thicker and totaly different from the front.



And I was already offered these open cabs, but I think the front looks better without them.


I was thinking more about something like this? Is there something like this for a 8 lug wheel? and will it lok any good?

This is simple, Put a front axle in place of your rear axle and fabricate a bar that goes from where the pitman arm connects to your frame.

There arent really any pre made aftermarket center caps that will look good on the fronts, the best I've seen is when you take a rear cap and cut the hole in it to exactly fit your front hub.

Here's a bunch of versions of GM hub caps. They're plastic so you can cut a hole in the end and not have rust problems. they require the special lug nuts pictured though...

They make open center caps for the front. I got some MT's on mine, but they are only there to match the chrome rears ones.
