Small Window to Big Window Conversion

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this but I was wondering if anyone has ever converted a small back window cab to a big back window by swapping tops on two trucks? I'm not real crazy about the small back window cabs but I have a 67 cab that is pretty rust free and a 71 cab that is rusted beyond repair. I was thinking about swapping the tops and lowering the top 2 inches and leaning the A pillars back slightly (kind of like what was done on Project Shorty).

If you are already planning on chopping it, go ahead and do it. Its only metal...you can cut out what you dont want, and weld in what you need in there. If I was not happy with mine, but knew I was going to cut the top anyway, I woud do the swap in a heartbeat.

Find a cab that suits your needs. If you cut up that small window to change it into something else... it's gone and Chevy's not going to make any more of them. Let's try not to waste the stuff that we have left.

I've always thought it would be interesting to take a small window cab and turn it into a "five window" cab. Surely someone has tried it already.

^^^ Thats an interesting concept. Dont think Ive ever seen one, but it sure would make it easier in my small window to see whats around me when changing lanes. However, it would help me to put side mittors on mine instead of shaving them, but thats not happening lol
