Ordered my new 17 inch smoothies!!!

I put the order in yesterday. I will paint the smoothies to mathc the truck in two tone. I will be running a 245/45/17 up front and 275/40/17 in the rear.. I was going to go the 15 inch route but the tires are getting harder to find. The 17's are so much more popular, cost wise same price or even less from some 15 inch tires.

With the drop F&R should be a killer look size wise yets still have the old school look

Re: Ordered my new 17 inch smoothies!!!

Cost wise I think was about 1200.. Stockton wheel. I have a set of 6 lug rear 54 style rims that are 10 that they added 2 inches two. Nice work

I run the same size on my 66 and its just right. I had to have custom offset on the back, what offset did you get? Can't wait to see.

Re: Ordered my new 17 inch smoothies!!!

5 1/8 rear I do have to double check that rear spec but I have modular spindal front so they do not stick out further than stock, the 62 frame is wider than the later frame.. I am waiting on my adjustable trac bar from CPP.. I need to get the rear end centered and then check that spec....CPP parts,..last time i order from them, 80% of the items they sent where mis boxed or wrong, mis machined etc..

Re: Ordered my new 17 inch smoothies!!!

mine were either 5.5 or 5.25 back space, I put a cpp bar on mine and am quite please with how little the rear end moves. aired out axle to frame is only about3/16 of an inch of center and perfect when aired up. I wanted to do some 17in ralleys but decided on some centerline spokes. I drive mine at about a 5-7 drop and it handles great with the flat wide meat on the ground.

Re: Ordered my new 17 inch smoothies!!!

Well the wheels have shipped and I have the tires due in a few days.. Been busy moving to a new home.... truck is still at the old house and I will be getting it moved soon. Bummer moving.. Will post up the pics when I get the wheels here and the tires mounted. I am going to mount them up on the raw wheels first before paint. Been working on the hydro boost lines at this point along with the new Ididit colum.. need to choose a steering wheel at this point.
