I drive a 63 impala wagon about 9 months out of the year. My 67 longstep truck is for the others 9and for truck work).

You won't believe how much attention a wagon will bring. Hotrodders like em, grandmas remember them, I love my wagon.

Occassionally someone asks if its a hearse, but oh well.

OCB

p.s. I don't have nay digital pics quite yet, but like my truck, its looooong and bright red.

Wish I did have one. Longroofs are KewL! I'd dig a 62 Impala wagon or even a 1st Generation Chevy II. Actually, my 3rd choice would be to get a Early to mid 90's Buick Roadmaster Wagon, It HAS to have the fake wood sides on it! ;-) Slam it with Air Ride 17'sF / 18"-20" R (Sigh) Unemployment is starting to S@ck..

I used to run a woodsided 1982 bonneville with full velour interior at tulsa raceway, only ran 15.00's, but still not bad for a family wagon.
Unfortunately, a hail storm demolished it for me. The tranny is still seeing service in my truck.

Here are my wagons. The '70 Chevelle is the wife's daily driver, the '56 Nomad is the summer cruiser and the '58 is my daily driver.
BTW the '58 wagon is for sale...unmolested original, rust free, California car.

i have been saying for years that grocery getters will become the rage someday for customizing. i like them old ugly wagons, maybe its because i grew up in them. used to love that "machine gun" position on those fold up seats in the very back!

love the old wagons too...just never had one (yet)
What was the Olds wagon with the windows in the roof? (any other day I'd remember that wagon) I always thought that was an awsome one myself.
Call me sick, but i always liked the Edsel wagons.
I saw a couple sweet concept wagons, a 65 Mustang wagon, a 77 Trans-Am wagon, and Corvette wagon which they did a poor job on.

My first car was a Vista Cruiser wagon.I wish I had spent the money I have spent on vehicles since on it and still had it.It was really cool.
BTW my theory is that the new rage in vehicles will be wagons again.I think they will call them something else but just look at the new mid-size SUV's and tell me they don't look like they are starting to go to the wagon again. They will be building lower longer SUV's and people are going to demand V-8's for towing and enough power for performance.
