Aligator Mouth costs me again

Looking the a parts catalog last night when I mention to my wife that you can get Seat heaters for the bench seat we're fixing to have redone thats from her 70 SWB. When will I learn to keep my thoughts to myself or just voice them internaly! She thinks thats a great idea. Has anyone have any experience with these and please tell me their not worth the 200.00 dollars to buy. My wife wont believe me but she might you guys.

In Texas? Just how cold does it get there? Up in my neck of the woods, seat heaters are very user friendly, but then I see some 0 degree weather or worse.

Sometimes pretty damn cold. She got use to them in her tahoe and thinks it would be great in her truck she will probably drive once a month. Nice Buck in your picture

Sorry, but I gotta agree with the missus on this one. I won't say anything about heated mirrors, though.....oops.

Just be happy your wife cares. Mine wouldn't care if my truck burned to the ground, probably because she would be the one to start the fire.

Heck, I caught my wife playing with matches near my truck.

Do the seat heaters. If the wife is happy, everyone is happy.

I thought everyone in California was broke! Great looking gift...

$200 doesn't seem like too much for seat warmers. That north Texas weather can be a killer with the wind blowing.

Re: Aligator Mouth costs me again

I have them in my 67 C10, and my 68 Olds 442, and they will also be going into my 68 c20 panel.

I did not want them either, but then once I brought a newer truck that had them, and we do have days below freezing, I was hooked. Much quicker then waiting for the engine to warm up the coolant/heater.

Sorry, but I predict Victory on behalf of your wife.

Re: Aligator Mouth costs me again

They aren't only for freezing weather.
This past summer I fished an eight hour bass tournament with a good bud. He likes his post tournament Windsor and Cokes. I knew where this was going so I laid off the suds and got the duty of pulling my boat home with his 07 GMC (Grand Master Chevrolet).
We get rolling down the highway. 90+ degrees outside. AC on full blast. He says,
"Reach over and hit that button on the arm rest"
I ain't 20 any more and that heating pad on my sore back from running the trolling motor and catching all those largemouths all day was just what the doctor ordered.

Re: Aligator Mouth costs me again

I have to agree with most others, I think having seat warmers is great, even in Georgia. I seldom drive my dad's Acura (can't see out of the dang thing) but when I do, in the winter having those seat warmers is heavenly. I'm not a fan at all of cold weather so I love 'em.

If I had them, they'd be on whenever the engine is running (like they are in the family rig) Even if your back isn't messed up, they still feel gooooooooooooooood

I agree, they are very nice to help out your back. I use mine in the summer time for that all the time.

My Thoughts "Last time I bought a wife a car I was served divorce papers a week later and never drove the car once. But the judge made sure I didn't miss single a payment the next 4 years."

Yes I agree, buy her a seat heater much cheaper than a new Camaro.
