FOUND DONER TRUCK HAVE?? on parts swap

i just found 1977 chevy lwb camper sp. with a good big block in it i tnink its a 396 all the guy knows that its not a 454 iknow that the front sup. will work for the disk brake swap to my 1970 gmc custom i want to know if the big block from the 77 will work in my 1970 and what all will i need to swap to make it work and is ther any other parts i can swap from the 77 to the 70

you should be able to put the motor in with the mounts that are on it and such. if not Im sure you can buy some for this purpose. if not a welder does nice too. as far as swapping other stuff. the bodies are different I have a 71 and a 79 which are both similar to those two trucks and it seems like nothing will switch without doing major work and taking alot of stuff off and swapping them. easiest way is find out what your wanting and ask on the boards. thats how we find this stuff out for the most part is ask someone who knows. the motor should work though Im not sure if you have to cut any of the sheet metal and such out. I would think it would sit right in though
