Question Electrical Gremlins Need Help Part 2

I am running a 327 with an HEI distributor, I was driving down the road when the engine began to bog as if it were running on a couple of cylinders down, the tach was jumping all over the place, then a small pop and the engine quit and will not start. Do you think it is the distributor or distributo module. Engine has run 4 years with HEI. Please help

Re: Electrical Gremlins Need Help Part 2

Need to ascertain whether it is spark or fuel related. It sounds from your description it is probably spark. Does it currently have spark? If so is the spark arriving at the right time?
