new here and new to blazers, pics also a lifted civic inside

well i been on here doing a lot of reading in the last couple of months trying to learn about the blazers and tryin to decide if i want to fix this one or not, i have made my decision and i really want to work on this thing now.

short story behind this blazer is a farmer down the road used to own it, and back around 1985 i guess my grandpa bought it from the farmer we know. well they drove it for some where around 10 years it was parked in 96 because it had a bad wheel bearing.lol.

i have a 77 f-100 pickup that blew up back in 08 ive been trying to get around to fixing but now i have decided to fix this blazer thats been sitting for 14 years.

i got it running but has no compression on #3 all 7 others have 150psi so imma guess that valve i heard when it was first started got a little bent,

things i know it needs right now are
wheel bearing not sure which one yet
gas tank
rocker boxes
master cylinder and brake booster
matching size tires, which i have 4 33in tires for it off my ford

and now lets try some pics you can see my ford, dodge and crx in this one, the crx will be sold to fix this blazer

and heres a pic of my vehicle that everyone is so interested in, this car is my daily driver, 89 honda civic hatchback, 5in lift, A/T tires on rear and old school mud tires on the front, it has a ford truck bumper on the rear
ill get some more pics of it if yall are interested, having trouble finding pics of it with is new green paint job,

That blazer has a lot of potential! I see someone added a big block even. Welcome aboard. Eric

Re: new here and new to blazers, pics also a lifted civic inside

yea its got a 454 in it everything else is stock as far as drivetrain,
the farmer that used to own it wanted it to run better so he pulled the 350 out and ordered a 396 and put in it and that was not good enough for him so he put it in his vette and ordered the 454 for the blazer, the 350 out of this blazer is in the vega sitting beside my house

why do i need to change my avatar? i dont have one

looks like you have a good solid blazer to start with.

NICE! Looks like the only thing your blazer needs is a bath and driven. I would fix the little mechanical things and roll with it for a bit before a major tear down. Enjoy it!

Re: new here and new to blazers, pics also a lifted civic inside

once it runs on all 8cly, and has a gas tank and will stop i will be driving it, this will be a rolling project. im not gonna tear it apart to where i cant drive it for months, i will be on here asking for help and info though this seems to be the best place for help with these blazers, Coloradok5 seems to be more of the next body style blazer

There you go, but while you are BS'ing, the Blazer gets better mileage than my TPI 71!

True there's a bigger #'s base for the later model blazers but there's a very strong 1st gen forum there too, check it out.
It does lean more towards custom work & off road though.

Welcome to the board.
