Re: New Support Bearin

Apart from the difference in appearance, are the mounting centers the same?

Re: New Support Bearin

the mounts to the frame seem to be correct, im more worried about where the bearing itself sits. cause the orginal one sits on the driveshaft while the new one looks like it needs to be where the splines are. would i have to get the end of the front driveshaft changed to make it work? i just dont want to have to spend much money on it cause i am short on cash at the moment

I wouldn't think so, provided that:
(1) The bearing is tight on the splines
(2) The bearing doesn't interfere with the yoke on the rear shaft

Re: New Support Bearin

All the one I have seen look like your new one. Maybe the old one was replaced and not exactly correct.

Re: New Support Bearin

Sameyrasmea72, what are those widgets under your tranny mount that the green arrows are pointing to?

Re: New Support Bearin

Sorry about this pic, I used it awhile back to show somebody something else. Those are used on BB trucks w/th400 and are used to hold the e-cable out of the way of the driveshaft. (AS FAR AS I CAN TELL)
