Like the title says i'm may be buying an 03 GMC 2500 4x4 with 69,000 mi. Is there anything I should look for as I inspect and test drive it, other then the obvious leaks and valve train noises? It is owned buy an older gentleman which is good, but I don't want to get screwed. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. P.S. I'm not sure whether it has the 5.3 or 6.0 I'll update as soon as i find out and I'll post pics after I see it tomorrow night.

I own an 03 chevy 2500, will most likely come with the 6.0

That kind of mileage is nothing for these engines when good maintenance is involved, as mine has 228000 on the ticker. it's an all around good truck.

I have a 03 1500HD 4x4 Crew with the 6.0. I have 115,000 miles on it, and have had no problems. Does it have the 6.0, 8.1, or the Duramax in it? I would just look at the normal things. Oil, tranny fluid, underside. Other than those few you should be good to go.

If you get it make sure and post up some pics.

Well I didn't get it. It has the 8.1 and I need a dd not 10mpg. If anyone is interested he only wanted $15,000 for it. Located in Southern Nevada let me know.

The 8.1's aren't bad in a 2wd. In a 4X4 though they do suck the gas!
