Re: custom kick panels

Yes. I use a set of plastic panels sold for our trucks to create a backing board. In these pics I am re-doing my first set. Make a mount ring for your speaker and then glue it in place at your desired angle. I then used two old t-shirts and stretched them over the boards and stapled them to the rear. Then soak with fibreglass resin until they are built up and solid. Proceed with body fillers and paint as desired.

If your into small projects, these are fun to make. I havent installed these yet as I am redoing my 'burb.

Re: custom kick panels

I tried it once.....it was ok but I tried to leave the vents in and added speakers....it all went ok till i tried to cover them in vinyl fabric....i could not get it to stretch and shrink...it just didnt form well...I think I just used too heavy a vinyl fabric...I would use something more flexable next time...
I ended up junking mine..
