After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

I was born back then! 1962 anyway! I have always thought it would be cool to have been an adult back then though. I dont know why but everytime I see pictures from the 50s and early 60s it seems like it would be a nice era to be alive. It's seems so much more simple and peaceful!

I like looking at the old pictures and seeing where everything came from. Some I know of, a lot of them I don't it's just cool to see our history unfolding in front of you.

...as opposed to peace protests, gang violence, a pre-brewed conflict in the Middle East as a result of Soviet Russia, fears of Korean/Iranian nuclear bombs falling any day now.

Looks like not much has changed... At least they made some gorgeous trucks and cars back then, vehicles which we are indebted deeply to on this site.

Neat pictures, btw. Here's one of my own, my company's first delivery truck:

Re: Old pictures

The '59 Ford in the pic w/bears, is like the one my dad bought new in June, of '59. It was our first new car and only his 3rd car ever. I took the Ford to Biloxi when I was in the USAF, in '67. It had a little over 100K and absolutely would NOT spin the tires on wet grass. That 292 got a new clutch, pressure plate and release bearing while I was there.

When I was a wee little snapper I went with my dad when he bought his 1970 hugger orange 3/4 ton chevy truck loaded $4,500.00 out the door! on the way home we went to get a burger and talk about our new truck! great memories for me. maybe thats why I'm so fond of these wonderful trucks! cheers, Pat

Anybody know what bridge this is. It is on the East coast. They just built a new one a year or so ago to take it's place. I remember driving over it a few times the last was with my Suburban it just did make it. I thought I was going to hit everything on that bridge but it didn't.

Re: Old pictures

Is that the old bridge in Charleston, SC over the bay? If it is, that bridge sucked. We went over it a few years back when I was 14. I thought my mom was gonna freak out, but me and my my dad were cracking up at her.

I took my wife and boys to Charleston last year. I was hoping to freak my wife out on that bridge, but they built the new one, which was actually really nice.

Re: Old pictures

Andy ,,the ramp up to the bridge reminded me of the bridge near me ,,hope you don't mind a couple pictures added to yours.. these were from the 1930 era.

In the second picture ,,upper right hand side you can see Mt. St. Helens before she blew her top off..
