bad brake booster

how to tell if i have a jb3 or jb5 system. i have a 86 chevy c10 short wheel base is 1" rotors and the smaller drums in the back don't remember the exact size just know they are the smaller ones thanks

That is tough, I just changed out my brake booster, but I went to NAPA and they gave me the different sizes that they match up to. I then went to another company (TUFF STUFF) and after talking to them, I ordered a chrome unit for my truck and it works fine.

well i went to autozone and ordered the jb3 and it was the same one that i had the master cylinder bolted right up no problem but when i disconnected the master cylinder i noticed a little brake fluid on the back of the piston and inside the booster all around the plunger so i had to order one of them too that's tomorrow's project. lots of fun working on these old trucks.
