59 Apache project

1959 Chevrolet Apache SWB Fleetside project

.030 over 350 with Duntov 30-30 cam, Edelbrock carb. And manifold, block hugger headers with 3” exhaust, HEI distributor, 400TH transmission, Lokar shifter, Olds 8.2” 3.73 rear end. Mono leaf suspension with front disc brake conversion. Poly bushings front and back. It’s still a little rough but it’s coming along. 1965 Thunderbird bucket seats, 1954 Chevy steering wheel

Nice looking truck.
Those mono leafs are looking a little tired.
Should they be that flat?

That's how I got them, havent put any miles on the truck yet so I don't know, probably not. Once I get it moving I can then work on the suspension some more.

More progress on the body:

Re: 59 Fleetside SWB project

Cool truck, I can't get enough of these fleetside 58, 59's. Any plans to paint the bullets on the bedsides (wink, wink, hint, hint)?

I'm not going to paint the bullets, but I am going to do some red and white pin striping on the tailgate, hood and maybe on the bed sides.
