This weekend's C'list scores.............

Had a good weekend on Craigslist for a change but I really need to stay off of that mofo for my own good!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My buddy came down from Philly and brought me the 396 HiPo block and heads he picked up for me 2 months ago. Cost me $ 100. No 454 because I wanted something different. This is the motor from my dream car (66' SS396 Chevelle)...............

Scored a set of Hedman HTC headers (new in the box - never installed) for $ 80

Scored a set of Bell Tech drop spindles (Model # 31200) for $ 125. I read somewhere that these are for 1 1/4" rotors??? If so, I guess I will have to change my front set up. No big deal

Re: This weekend's C'list scores.............

I thought I made out pretty good on all of the buys. Only problem is that I had to drive 1 1/2 hours each way to pick up those spindles. That puts me @ $ 175 for a complete Bell Tech lowering kit minus the shocks

I try Ed but, I think you are the master of scoring a deal since you found a 2wd K5 with a title and managed to do all that you have done. The real deal was the 396. I let our fleet mechanic (he is an old engine builder) look at it and he believes that it has never been bored over. Still the stock bore that it left the plant with in 66'.................
