Wrecked truck

Lady pulled out in front of my Dad yesterday on his way to a car show. She never looked leaving a side alley. He way only going about 30-35 but she pulled out when it was way to late for him to react. She had insurance and it will be fixed but that was the first major damage to the truck since it was new.He bought it used in 67. It was wearing the original body panels.
Thanks for letting me share and be careful, idiots are around every corner.

Re: Wrecked truck

So did the impact knock the cell phone out of her hand?

What a shame, you just never know. Many moons ago I spent 5 years searching for an SS hood for my 67 Chevelle. A few weeks later the entire car including the hood was destroyed by a red light runner. I'm glad your dad is okay, just know how miserable something like this can make a person feel. It started out as such a nice day. His truck is beautiful even wrecked. Look forward to seeing it back together.

Re: Wrecked truck

How long before the lady is out of Intesive Care? I'm sure her car kept her safe during the collision, but the beat-down after the collision - that's when the injuries occur.

Yikes! Nice to see it didn't get the hood
I hope her airbags woke her up (not)
I agree about the cell phone, who in their right mind pulls out of an alley without looking or even stopping? (kinda like wandering around on the freeway blindfolded).
Glad your dad's OK

Too bad this happened to your dad, but at least he is okay. I know I drive very cautiously anymore, there are to many drivers not paying attention.

Re: Wrecked truck

I'm glad all that got bent was the truck, dads are hard to fix sometimes I don't want to throw cold water on anything, but if her insurance company gives him any **** over fixing the truck, maybe a visit from the Corleone family is in order, (incert Godfather theme) or A good Lawyer.
