Question Brothers v. Classic v. Anyone else's carpet?

Looking to order a new carpet set for my 72 and was wondering if anyone had any experiences with both Brothers and Classic Industries 80/20 carpet kits. I know lots of times the retailers are selling the same product, didn't know if this was one of those instances. I ask because Brothers is $25 cheaper, but if it's a lesser product, then that's a small difference to pay for a higher quality carpet. Just looking for some input/experiences that people may have had in the past. Or, if there is another vendor that I should be looking at, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure that's the brand that Classic Industries sells. I'll give Brothers a call later and see who their carpet supplier is.

Re: Brothers v. Classic v. Anyone else's carpet?

ACC supplies the carpet kits for all Classic Industries vehicles (truck, Camaros, Novas, etc.)

In fact, ACC is the supplier to most all restoration companies. I've used ACC on numbers vehicles and the quality and fit is good. A few months ago I installed a new ACC kit (from Classic) in my 1971 C10 and it fit great.

My only suggestion is to install aftermarket sound deadener insulation beneath the carpet at it: cuts down on noise, cuts down on heat, and gives a bit of added padding.

Hello, just ask if the carpet is from Auto Custom Carpets. This is by far the superior product. You might check with Outback Truck Parts. I know they will be at the Fort Worth Swap meet this weekend. I bet they will bring you one and save you the shipping cost.

I haven't heard about the swap meet...can you send me some info about that?

shiner2001,

I just noticed (and got a laugh out of) your avatar. Unfortunately, that image is a very common one for my '71.

It sounds like the consensus is that ACC is the way to go. Wherever I get it from, I'll be sure to go with their product. I ordered a big roll of sound deadener/insulation yesterday as well. Going with a decent stereo system in this truck as well, so that's definitely important (door speakers and a sub under the seat).

After stopping at the parts store to buy an air cleaner, that was the next stop when I bought the truck about a month ago...
