Diffrence between US and Canadian Manuals - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hey all, just had a question regarding the truck manuals? Is there a big difference between the US and the Canadian version? or are they pretty much the same? Thanks in advance to you all.

The Canadian one is in English.

Alot more illustrations in the American version. The Canadian Shop Manual covers GMC as well, but Canadian built GMC's came with Chevrolet drivetrains. The American Chevrolet Truck Shop Manual, I find, has more information in it. The Parts books would reflect the same in that Canadian Chevrolet and GMC trucks shared alot of the same parts.

I'll quote a friend of mine who worked for Gm for 40+ years," Whatever information you can get, take it, as one illustration or part number or picture will help you out,when your in a jam! "
