I was wondering what a near mint Dana 60 front axle from a 79 truck is worth?? I have seen them from 650.00 to 1000.00. A guy has one for 800.00 around here for sale. I think he is high, but who knows

I see your in SD and i'm in central FL. but a recon dana 60 goes for around 1500.00 here.... 800.00 for near mint wow......bearings and seals in it are worth a 1/4 of that alone, new lock in hubs close to half.....

you can get a matched set 60 front and a FF14 bolt around here for 800-1000. Of course there VERY rusty!

Rusty ones needing rebuilt around go for $650, nice ones rebuilt are around $1250 and higher. So I'd say $800 is right. I know I wouldn't sell mine for under $1000. Because that is what I'd likely have to pay to replace it.

i bought my front dana 60 axle for about $400 but that was in poor condition, i had to replace all the bearings, seals, and both king pins

I bought mine for $3500...and it came with a free truck and Boss V plow.

$800 sounds fair.

Thanks fellas for your replies. I have a MINT Dana 60 on my Dually but am in need of another for a K5 Blazer project. I have a Dana 60 Posi rear and was looking for the front to make a Black Hills trail rig.

I picked one up for $200, stole the Spicers off it, and had a hard time selling for $450. It was a SRW also. My other one was $800, came with a K30 and a plow, drove it home, in fact I`m still driving it.

For whatever reason the Dana 60 fronts from dually trucks are not worth as much. The standard Dana 60 fronts from single rear wheel trucks are expensive.

thats true but the only difference between the dually one and a SRW is the hub. and you can just swap those out so i dont understand why the price difference is so much

And that it! Its just the SRW hubs that make that price.

When I got my 60 ($400) it had the SRW hubs. I got $100 and dually hubs off of a craigslists trade the very next day.

Lots of people look for the SRW front hubs.

Im not looking forward to doing the king pins though!
