1" drop in rear?

Can you drop these with a block, 1" , without new u bolts?

Not on my 1960 GMC. There's only about 1/2" of thread showing beyond the u-bolt nuts.

I did 2 inch blocks on mine, and definitely needed new bolts. Even with 1 inch I'm pretty sure you'd still need new ubolts. I bought a brand new set of u's for 20 bucks though, wasnt a big deal at all

crawl under there and look at how much thread you have hanging out.. its never recomended to re use U bolts tho. they are cheap anyways.

They're so cheap, its silly not to just replace them anyways.
