5.7 or 6.0 opinions

Ok so I have decided not to build my tbi motor, instead gonna start planning a motor swap but would like to know what are your opinions on these 2 swaps. Would like to know about ease of swap, driveablity, finding either at a reasonable cost, and personal preferance with reasons why please. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you asking about the 5.7 gen1 small block vs. the 6.0 gen III motors? If so, Go LS all the way. Better engine, more power, better fuel economy, etc. Definately check out the engine and drivetrain section in the LS Swap section for all kinds of good stuff.

My bad. I saw 5.7 and my mind read 5.3. The 5.7 is a great motor and not a bad conversion. If you have a choice between the two, go 6.0.

The 5.7 L shares little other than similar displacement, external dimensions, and rod bearings, with its predecessor. It is an all-aluminium 5,665 cc (5.665 L; 345.7 cu in) pushrod engine with a bore of 3.9 in (99.1 mm) and a stroke of 3.62 in (91.9 mm)

Re: 5.7 or 6.0 opinions

Ok smarty pants, to clarify I was referring to "5.7 gen1 small block", not the LS Gen III version
