Well my local autozone didnt have one that would fit, and my harmonic balancer puller wont fit either.

Any other ideas?

Northern tool? Summit? Napa also has them.

a rented A/C clutch puller from Oreilly's did the job for me this week. It worked on both a stock steering wheel and a Grant aftermarket wheel. I just needed $4 in longer bolts from the Depot.

I used some WD-40 and my good OL' trusty muscles!!! And now i have the bruise on my chin to prove it!!! LOL!!!

with a bit of imagination and 3bolts a steering wheel puller is an easy thing to fabricate

I have a real close friend that swore by this method of steering wheel removal and knocked out two of his bottom teeth to prove it ! still giggle a bout that one! cheers, Pat

the wiggle method works great.... just remember to leave the nut threaded on part way

That is exactly what I did, and I made something that looks like this. I actually made it twice. I couldn't find the first one I made so I made another then found the first one when I was done using the new one.

what kind of steering wheel do you have that the standard type pullers wont work?

put the nut back on, so there is 2/3 of the threads in the nut..
with one person pulling on the wheel. have another give the nut a light rap(with a little heat behind it) with a hammer..
it'll come right off

DMW and PAT! Trust me I was lucky enough not to knock out my front teeth!!! I hit myself so hard and fast that 2 of my buddies that were looking right at me didn't even see me hit myself!!! needless to say it hurt like hell!!!

Loosen the nut up, but leave it on a few threads

Ok, now take hold of 1 side of the wheel & pull hard. While doing this, Yank hard on the other side. The wheel will come off.....& it wont whack you in the chops

Guess what....I learned it the hard way first trip around(LEAVE THE NUT ON!)
