Removing Column Shifter Arm???
Hello everyone? I bought a new shifter arm for my steering column. I just dont know how to remove the old shifter arm that is on the column. I see that there is a pin that goes through the steering housing and shifter arm, but I don't know how to remove that. Is it a screw or just a pin? Can anyone tell me how to remove it? Thank you for the help?

It is just a pin. Take a punch and hammer and tap it out.

Thanks for the help 67Fleetside Dream. I got it out. I bought a billet shifter. Mine is automatic on the column. Its says R,N,D,L1,L2, I think, so I guess it is 3-speed. When I bought it, it said it was for a 68- 8something chevy p/u. Looks real nice. I decided to try my chances so I got it anyway, but did not work, too short and too fat to fit. Mine has a small ball like shape and the end of the shifter arm. Does anyone happen to know where I can get a billet shifter, for my year truck, 1971 with an automatic column shifter? If there is one for my year? Thanks!
