what a bad day
so i had such a good day yesterday not drivin down the road in my truck and a loud bang now i knew the rear-end was going but was just hoping i could make it a little longer so unfortunately i shattered the u-joint broke my drive shaft and dented the gas tank. i made my day a little better by finding a new rear-end for a 100 bucks from a local guy in town and also scored a set of 1999 and up chevy wheels with good tires also for 100 bucks so 200 in total all i need now is a new drive shaft

Take your old driveshaft to a good machine shop, they can cut the old junk end off and weld a new one one.
Unless you can find a complete one locally for cheap... |

so i took the rear-end out of my truck and pulled the cover i gernaded the spider gears and messed the ring and pinion and blew the pinion bearing it took me 6 hours last night but i got the new rear-end in my truck and added some two inch lift blocks will post a pic of that later

been there done that. mine wasn't that bad i was able to go to the junkyard and get a set of spiders and fix my rear.

yeah it cost me 350 to fix it including the wheels and tires and itll get a paintjob next summer but my stepside is first on the list to finish
