Fleetside tailgates

Are fleetside tailgates the same for '67 - '72. How much is an OE in excellent condition worth?

Believe the lettering is a bit smaller on 67 but the basic gates are identical thru 72. Original New Stock can sell for $400.+ but are not as desireable as they once were as the newer reproductions are decent and can be bought for $250.+- I've been using a better repop for the past few years and it performs fine.

Hobby I know a guy that has a 67 cab to trade for that tailgate. It was just setting there should have just loaded it up while you were here.
Hope you made it home ok with the box!
Keep me informed of the progress.

Solver, the tailgate I located is from the pickup I told you about that is about 65 miles NE of me. It looks like it was one of those that was removed for a camper and never used. I know the guy who owns the PU said he has never used it and he's had the PU for 20 years. It is drivable and if I could recover a substantial amount of purchase price by selling the tailgate I would buy it. Yes, I did make it home fine - took gravel roads all the way home and made some vehicle discoveries along the way. Thanks for asking.

Glad to here the box made it home ok
If you finish that pickup up next week ----give me a call!
Planting is just around the corner you know.
Next time you go on one of your discovery trips let me know I'll ride along. To many discoveries like that would put me in the poor house.
