Re: 85 C10 Lift
You list seems about right... since there really isn't a lot available.
However, in lieu of the coil lift you could go with a spindle lift. The 88-98 spindles seem to be a fairly easy swap, in fact a member is in the middle of doing it right now. (http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=423125) With the coils springs you will loose pretty much any down travel the suspension has. What size tires were you planning on running?

Re: 85 C10 Lift
I can't access that link as it is blocked here at work...
It is not that they are Fabtech springs.. it is just the design of the front suspension. When you lift it with coils (and or coil spacers) the upper control arm will contact the upper coil spring cup. Here is what I mean.. the circled areas are the problem areas. I see in your original list you mentioned the ball joint spacer... so you are obviously already aware of that problem. If you had the time, money, and proper tools... custom shock hoops for coilovers (cutting out the upper coil mount) would give the suspension more travel. Slightly longer control arms and cut or 'glass fenders and you would be on your way. I believe this particular picture was taken without the engine in the truck, but it gives a good idea of the problems with lifting a truck with this front suspension design. The tubular control arms also give more clearance around the upper coil bucket. Take a look at the stock suspension and you will see how limited you are with stock control arms.

Re: 85 C10 Lift
I don't know about bending the arms to clear the coil bucket... would have to see it first.
The longer you make the control arms the better, though fiberglass front fenders would be required. The longer the control arms the more suspension movement you get before it hits the coil bucket.

Re: 85 C10 Lift
I would like to see a set of your uncles control arms on a truck before I make any judgments/comments/statements.
