Re: Brake?
It could be either. That was when they had the standard 1" and heavy duty 1 1/4". You just have to find out was they are. The parts stores used to have the option code when looking for brake parts. Just did a quick search at Autozone and Oreilly's and they only go by standard or heavy duty, sometimes listing the rear drum size.

Re: Brake?
Hey wats up eric? name is chris and i got a 70 and i bought parts to redo my front drums but im really considering about goin to pick apart and take off the a-arms, spindles and ect so i can get disk brakes for cheep. and i was talkin to this older guy in my welding class and he said that if i take if off a late model truck and toss it on there i would be ok. i dont think u really need a boster w. the disk breaks but if u got the option go for it bro, just some adivice Do NOT take out the bolts were the master cylinder is at, you need a bracket and i think a bell crank for it.
haha i took mine off and now that i have found out that i need a bracket that i cant really find im trying to go w. the disk brakes but they are like 500$ avg. there shouldnt be a problem w. me taking stock a-arms and all that and putting it on the 70 right? Re: Brake?
310lissik_70'C10, Nice to meet you. What is the donor truck you are going to get your parts off of? I have looked at the suspension forum and found this thread http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...d.php?t=403713
I plan on trying this out since I have my drop spindals now! Eric

Re: Brake?
I have 2600 dominators all the way around, now compressor yet working on that It all depends on what you want to do with your truck. From what I had read on this site any 73-87 suspension can be used, what part are you missing? Need some pics I know you can use disks, rotors, spindals, calipers. You have to change the ball joint (lower) and tierod ends to make this work. That is what I hope to finish this weekend. Im sure someone will add if i have missed something, Good luck Eric
