64 chevy 7-17.5 rims C20

they are 8 lug can i use 8 lug 16 inch rims off of a later model Chevy/gmc?

the tire shop will not touch these and 17.5 wheels are extremely hard to find here.

thanks

Re: 64 chevy 7-17.5 rims C20

You can use any 16, 16.5, 17, 18, etc wheel as long as it is 8. 6.5" bolt pattern and has a center hole large enough to go over the hubs......except for the '99 and up F**ds. They are 8 lug but a metric pattern. I would go with 16's or 17's as they are easy enough to find tires for. The 16.5's are being phased out from what I've heard.
