good cam choice?
So I was originally going to build up my 307 but I had a 350 laying around and tore it down, it just needs new main bearings and piston rings. it is a stock bore and will stay that way stock 76cc heads. flotech headers with cherry bomb glass packs. the tranny is an sm465 with an Eaton ho52 rear end, unsure of ratio at this time. I have an edelbrock 600cfm carb and a weiand intake both 4 bbl. my question is what would be the best cam to go with? I currently have a 280h comp cam and I know it will be way to much for a daily driver but that's what was in the 350 when i bought it. the cams I am looking at are from summit. this is going into a 1969 c20 lwb
Summit Racing SUM-K1103 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-K1101/ SUM-K1100 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-K1100/ summit 1101 cam http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-K1101/ I guess an easier question would be I want a slightly lumpy idle without killing my gas mileage in the truck. I dont know if its possible or not with my current setup but I would LOVE to be at around 330hp if its even possible with the stuff I have. I would like to only spend around $130 or so for the cam and lifter kit as well thats why summit appealed to me to much. thanks for the input and help.

Re: good cam choice?
I had good luck with this grind in a fairly stock 350.

Re: good cam choice?
best advise you can get is by calling a few different cam company tech lines with all your specs and expectations and ask them for a recomendation for cam lifter and spring package

Tech company is the way to go, but you have to decide low end torque or high end power. Street, MPG, show, sound, towing, crawling or a little of everything.
