Greetings fellow C-10er's,
Took the truck for a drive yesterday. Nice sunny day, just a little cool.
Turn on the defroster and receive the dreaded steam out the vents

Knowing that this will require a new heater core and also knowing the fan is just not that great at pushing air, I am considering an A/C conversion.
I have already researched several vendors and estimate the cost at $13-1500. So which is the better way to change? Aftermarket or source all the orignal parts? The work in not an issue. Just the time and cost. But then again, no sweat driving, UMMMMMMMM

I'd venture to say it depends on how many roadtrips you intend to make in hot weather. A guy and his lady can usually stand a trip to a close by event without air conditioning but if you are like me and intend to do some serious road trips ac is really nice to have.
Shopping around at this time of the year might produce some real bargain deals too.

My choice will be after market Vintage Air. New tech, nice controls and never heard anyone complain about them. That will be my spring 11' addition.
