Interior Painting
Hello,
Im working on restoring a 1972 C10, 2wd, 4 speed on the floor with a 350. She's hugger orange and being restored mostly to original with a touch of cool!haha Im wondering if anyone has ever done a great job of painting the interior steel parts, floorboards, and door sills themselves? Im really tempted to try painting it myself with everything out. If I screw it up real bad I can just sand it back down to the steel and then have the body shop paint it when they paint the exterior. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks! |

Re: Interior Painting
I'm actually going throughout this exact same thing right now . Ill try and post some pics later when I get home to show how difficult, well actually how simple it is.. you definitely sound motivated and sometimes that's the most difficult thing to get, motivation. Ill be using a HVLP gun for the dash but I'm rattling the trim and glove box door with glossy black... and its coming out decent.

Re: Interior Painting
Just did that with my project, striped everything down to bare steel,
Then shot it with epoxy primer to get it ready for paint. |
