frame swap?

does anyone know if a 1966 short bed chevy pickup will fit on a 1968 short bed chevy, 2wd pickup frame? I imagine that cab mounts will different, are the frames the same size and wheel base?
Thanks.

Re: frame swap?

I think the rear of the frames are different, but I'm not sure about the wheel base.

Re: frame swap?

the ends aren't the same... you'll have to be creative on the bumpers.
There was a kid that used to log on here, was on the east side of Columbus (this was 5 years ago or so) he had a 69 cab with the late mode sportside bed, all on a 60 - 66 frame.

Re: frame swap?

thanks. I have 68 chevy truck that is running and driving, the frame is in great shape and I have also have a good 65 body but the frame is bad. I want to fix a frame for my 68 with a new engine and make it lay frame. so i will basically have a left over running frame i just want to set the 65 body on it. what modifications would need to be made?
