Re: how to install a stock headliner
I have. The chrome trim would be a total pain. Upi need to drill round holes, and also slots for tabs. I skipped the trim all together.
I used liquid nails. Squirt it liberally all over the back side of the headliner, then gently place it into position, trying to get it as close as centered the first time. Then I propped it up with 2 pieces of 1 inch square pieces of wood going left to right (from side to side) Then I propped that wood up with verticle 2X4's sitting on the seat pushing the other wood up. Worked great, did it in '04 and showing no signs of falling. The rest of the cab is falling apart, but the headliner will be there forever. |

I followed this from Brothers http://www.brotherstrucks.com/techar...20INSTALLATION It was a pain and one thing you need to do when grinding the slots is protect your glass. I didn't and had to replace one side window.

Measured and made referance marks using blue painters tape both on the cab and headliner... Bought wide heavy duty velcro form the craft store.. Then i spread the liquid nails and velcroed it up. buy the time the velcro fails over time, the liquid nails will do the job..

Re: how to install a stock headliner
Liquid nails is a great idea! I was afraid I would drill holes and they would come out the top of the roof. That would suck. Im going to look for a headliner now.
