1960 GMC Dash Board color - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hey all,

As my Burb slowly comes together and is so close to coming to color, I need a little info on the dash board color.

The dash top is a dark greyish black. Does anybody know a good paint color (stock) number ? My Burbs ready for paint and we will be pulling the windshield when we paint, then installing the new windshield.

While the glass is out, I want to paint the dash top.

Also, any info on replacement of the inside exposed insulation for the roof. Would like to keep it all as close to original as ca$h allows.

Anybody know if there was actually a "two-tone" paint scheme inside the 1960 Suburban ? Like one color for the dash and other front seat areas and one for the metal interior panels, rear doors etc.

My 51 year old interior seems to have a silverish color up front and a more greyish color in the rear. Could just be age.
