Just one thing to address and then it's Green Flag Day
I am down to the end of getting the motor ready to crank it over ,,
After getting the tranny rebuilt I was told to be sure and put fluid in it before I cranked the engine up in my 72 ..Ok,,I remembered.. Doesn't it hold 10 quarts (it's a 350th) so I put in 8 and it ran some out of the over flow .. maybe a half to a full pint. Do you suppose I should go ahead and run the motor and then check the tranny and then fill it on up?

is the converter empty maybe it will fill it and make room for the other once it's been run? i'm just assumeing that it has to run to get fluid into the converter ( i may be wayyy off so feel free to correct me i haven't had to work on trans much)

If the trans and converter are empty, you won't be able to put all of it in, fire it up as is to break in the motor and then top off the tranny before you put it in gear, then drive the wheels off!
