hazard!!!!

hey guys i just picked this up at local salvage yard off a 64-5-6 gmc.

was this factory or aftermarket? im planing on putting it on my truck

That is aftermarket as far as I know.

To the best of my knowledge, Flarestat was used by the factory for hazard lights in our trucks.
I have one in my '63 that came with the proper pigtail wiring to connect right up to the wiring in the steering column. Plug and play.

Like most accessories, GM did not build them, but purchased them from manufacturers. GM might have been specific to a few changes they wanted, but the manufacturer was able to sell their original version as well.
