Windshield wiper motor bracket problem

I have a problem with my windshield wiper motor bracket.
The cab is VERY clean except for some reason, the windshield wiper motor bracket is rusted along with the area around it.

This link and this link shows the area I'm talking about (note, this is not pics of the one on my truck).

Does anyone know where I can get this area?
That bracket is welded on, so I would need this complete area around it.
Is the only way I can get this area possibly from a parts truck?

Thanks!

Re: Windshield wiper motor bracket problem

I don't think I've ever seen it in a catalog, although I can't say I've ever gone looking for it either. I would think that it would not be that hard to grab one from a parts truck. Looks to be about 6-7 spot welds there?

Yep you're going to have to get that piece from a parts truck.

Re: Windshield wiper motor bracket problem

Yea, it's a bummer. Not only do I need that bracket, I need a portion of the cowl 'tunnel' that holds that bracket (probably would end up being a 8" x 8" or so section with that bracket attached)

This is a VERY clean rust free cab to. I'm guessing one of the windshield washer hoses had a leak it in, and it sprayed inside the cab on the bracket area and eventually rusted out.

Re: Windshield wiper motor bracket problem

It shouldn't too hard to find a good donor cab. I can't say as I've seen one rusted out in this area.
