bout to go look at a 82 6.2 diesel
I found a motor on craigslist, I talked to the owner on the phone. The motor has already been pulled. I want to make sure it's complete. what all should I be looking for? Also my truck has a manual transmission with a mechanical clutch linkage, it's got a 350 with rams horns, clearance for the linkage is pretty tight already, and with rear dump manifolds like I believe the 6.2 has I don't think it would fit. Would the rams horns fit on the 6.2? Thanks yall!

I think the exhaust can be bent to clear clutch linkage.GM didn't go to hydraulic linkage until '86.The 6.2 has nothing in common with the gas motors. No swapping manifolds. That block will be red if it's an '82.That was the first and best year...higher nickle block.Just be sure the injector lines are all there, the pulleys & brackets, flywheel, and the fuel filter from the firewall.
