who makes door sill plates for 55-59 chevy trucks

I have seen small step plates that mount on the step but nothing that covers the whole thing.

Do you mean the step that rusts out (#03 in the picture)? If so you can get it thru Goodmark or Cross Canada.

no the angle chrome peice that covers carpet at edge of step i know its no factory ive seen pics of custom trucks with em but not found them yet

Here'a an install kit for putting carpet in 55-59s. Maybe it has what you need.

Big box stores have aluminum angle you can cut to fit and polish. Steel supply places will have stainless angle to polish or regular steel you could paint or get powder coated.. I have also seen the aluminum polished deck plate bent with a sheet metal brake. I am probably going to fab mine out of aluminum or stainless and polish it up.

Hi! I just got off the phone with Brothers. I ordered this kit, but was wondering where the sill plates were. I called them, then read further on what that item number actually comes with. It does not come with sills, those in the ad are for later model chevy trucks, not 55-59! I gave him my thoughts in a nice way saying that's misleading and you really should take those sills off of the ad!
I'm a few weeks from installing the carpet~ So will be back to what Orrie is suggesting I'm just surprised that some company hasn't come up with sills! How silly~!

If you want sill plates you will have to make some because they never came with them I will be looking at late 30's to 40's two door sedans. They have a body by fisher insignia that I like.

You can use the ones out of a Astro van, they fit pretty close..

Uh....but they're plastic. Personally, no thanks. I'd rather use stainless or aluminum and polish them myself. Rudy has me thinking about those Body by Fisher emblems. Gotta go search eBay for some small ones.
