Cool New from central Michigan

Hi my name is Brian. I am almost as old as dirt. I am a master mechanic and truck driver. Work on anything from snowmobiles to semi's . i am old school and have built a lot of different cars and trucks over the years. my intrest here is the 73-87 trucks. I want to put a 57 cab and fenders on one of those chassies. I race NHRA/IHRA stock elimantor with a 1970 monte carlo. Have Stock 1976 grand Prix that is mostly all original.i have had three of the 73-87 chevy trucks, 13 68-72 chevy novas,1957 chevy sedan delivery.and the list gose on and on. curently i have a 79 3/4 ton camper special that i am making into a dually.

Welcome from the west coast. I thought I was old as dirt too!!! LOL!!!
57 cab on 73-87 chassis eh!! Depends on what box you use. Cab fits but chassis kicks up behind cab and hard to fit the box unless you do some handy mods. I built one years ago but grafted the two frames together under the firewall. The frame dimensions are the same.

i am not going to do a box . just the cab and front end on a dually chassie. haul my race car trailer.

Hi Brian. Welcome from SE Michigan (Troy/Warren area).

I make it up your way a couple times a year: I consider the Mid Michigan Motorplex to be my "home" track.
