Are the CPP master cyinders and proportioning vlalves any good? Im going with a manual setup

I'm sure they are fine, but if you want to save 10 bucks, use the POL set-up. Check it.......

You can also get a new or rebuilt master cylinder at your local auto parts supplier. The prop valve can be found at a wrecking yard or bought new. Which one depends on if you're running disc/drums or disc/disc.

1971 to about 1974-5 were available with manual disc brakes. Then you'll just need a proportioning valve to suit. I wouldn't be afraid to use a prop valve out of a wrecking yard as long as it has had brake fuild in it recently. They don't go bad very often.

I know im bringing up an old thread but im going to put manual disc brakes on my 62 pretty soon and i was wondering if, in addition to the proportioning valve, do i need to add a residual pressure valve in either the front or rear brake line? I had to do this to a 51 that i switched over to front discs years ago but i think it was because the master cylinder was under the floor on the frame rail. Just trying to cover all the bases before i get started.
