Re: crew cab fold down seat to bed

It looks like the tracks from a front seat, not sure if they are the same or bolt up the same. I don't think mine was used too much, it's real hard to get it to slide....

WellbiltCustoms (username) on here had the fold flat rear seat out of my truck for sale on this site. Might be able to do a search in the classifieds and see it or give him a pm.

One of the things I like about this site is that no thread is ever too old. I've been on other forums where some punk will go off on somebody else for bringing up a thread that's 6 months old. But I guess when you're only like 17, then 6 months is a long time, haha. Anyway, good find on the conversion seat. What is it that you are going to put it in?

It's not bad when it's obvious that whomever brought back an old thread is fully aware of the last dated post (like how @Ford Assassin did it).

But when you get a guy that responds about how he had to change 'x' part & this is what he used on an 11yr old post about 'what to use' it's kind of a "Hello.... Look @ the dates on things your replying to" mode.

Nice looking truck! I would like to convert my 85 cc to 4wd. Already did the Cummins swap back in 95.

I didn't make it easy on myself. Went with radius arms and coilovers instead of stock traditional leafs. It rides nicer than my 2003 Silverado 1500 I used to own.

Re: crew cab fold down seat to bed

Might be worth looking at the rear seat in conversion vans in the yards. Probably not many of them out there but worth a gander.
My folks had a Mark III Ford E250 high top conversion van back in the mid 70's that had a fold flat rear bench at the very rear of the van and a set of captains chairs in the front and centre positions of the van. Some vans had plywood and upholstery beds but IIRC it wasn't that uncommon to have a fold flat bench seat against the back doors.

Re: crew cab fold down seat to bed

Van fold out seats take a TON of fabrication to work. For starters, they sit a lot higher as a van has a flat floor. That isn't the brackets either. It is part of the actual frame. Not saying it can't be done just saying you should be really good at fabrication if you want to make one work. I have one of the crew cab fold out seats in My truck before I found one I looked at a ton of vans and they were just too different. Anything can be done with skills and time

That's a great looking rig and you've done a lot to make it very drivable. Attractive copilot as well.
