Wood truck bed
My 68 came from factory as cab & chassis only. it has a wood stepbed with same original paint color as cab.
I have a factory assembly manual which does not show the wood bed assembly, so my question is... Does anyone know where they sent the trucks to install wood beds? Thanks, |

Re: Wood truck bed
Check out Mar-K. They are a vendor for the site and have a great how-to library for putting your bed back together. I am just finishing up the wood bed for my 67 short step. So if I can help, ask away.

Re: Wood truck bed
By the OP stating his truck was originally a "cab and chassis" the wood bed he may be describing is a stakebed or flatbed to some.

Re: Wood truck bed
If mine looked half as good as that,
it would look twice as good as it does now!

Re: Wood truck bed
I use GMC Pauls specs for all the bedwood I have built. THe only challenge I have come up with is the actual length of the boards. I dont know if it the aftermarket bedsides that change the length, gut Im leaving the wood a inch longer so it can be trimmed for a perfect fit.
