402 BB cam suggestions

I am currently putting together a 71 402 for my 77 shortbox. Its a 4x4 with a 4 speed and 4.10 gears. 33's at the moment with a possibilities of 35s in the near future. The engine is stock bore with stock compression (8.5 to 1 I believe). We are basically just doing a rering/bearing rebuild because the bores are beautifull. I am looking for a hydraulic flat tappet cam with a good rumble and maybe a 5,500 redline. Any suggestions on a cam profile to run? I have headers, performer Rpm, and a few different holleys that I could run.

Re: 402 BB cam suggestions

Ill look for my cam specs from my 402 build iwas running alittle higher comp and my heads were cleaned up a bit but it should work for your engine aswell. I was running 4spd 4x4 35 thornbirds 4.10gears. My cam was for a little lower Rs but big torque #s I think it was rated for 1600-4000rpm range and had a farly chppy idle. Ill try to get it in the morning.
