I have been slowly working on this truck this summer and I thought it was time to share some photos. Here is the truck when I bought it.

Re: project 72 Custom 10
The truck was originally from minnesota, luckly it has been off the road from about 1992. I have seen far worse up there. On the other hand i did not pay much for it.

Removed the glass and the passanger door today. Had the wife help me filp the cab on its back, much easier to weld up the floor this way.

Re: project 72 Custom 10
I finished up welding the drivers side floor. I got all the seams sealed up with some brushable seam sealer, that stuff is great.

Re: project 72 Custom 10
The engine is a 1970 2bbl, I bought it froms my friends dad in high school. I had it in my 4wd, but the engine that was in this one a 1974 350 blew up 2 days before i drive it from MN. It put a 4bbl on it and got a quad jet from a friend that needs a rebuild. Still has the points distributor in it. I will proubly sell it after i fininsh it, i really want to work on my 4wd i got 12 years ago and havent fininshed yet. Hopefully i can sell it to someone i know, or maybe i will keep it. I hope it turns out nice.

Re: project 72 Custom 10
Looking at a lot of the other build threads has defiantly helped getting some of the work done; today I bought a extra angle grinder and got a wire brush that threads on to it, man that really takes off the old crud. It's nice to find faster and easier ways to get the job done.

Re: project 72 Custom 10
I am planning to mostly keep the truck stock, the one big problem that I will have is the bed floor is terrible, and I don't really want to buy a new floor, but used ones are very hard to find. Any ideas? I was thinking of trying to use the floor from a 73-87 the pattern seems to be the same and they are cheaper and easier to find. I know they bolt in different but has anyone done anything like this? I have also considered switching to a wood bottom but that also costs a few bucks.
