Lower woodgrain for 69-72 shortbed #3997440, and

Eric, I think your part number should be #3997438, that is the rarest piece to find nos, it took me years to find one. I have a nos black that I put wood grain own if you are interested, Les

Hi les, i think the 438 number is for the black, and the 440 is woodgrain. I have a couple of the black ones, and an aftermarket woodgrain piece i am not happy with. Does yours have the correct woodgrain? Can you post a pic? Price? Thanks.

Hey Eric, you might be right on the number but the nos woodgrain one just happen to be in the package that had the 438 number on it. Here's a few pics of the 2 together and the upper one is the nos woodgrain witch matches another nos piece I have perfect and the lower one is grain that I added to a black one. You can see the add on grain is lighter in color. The nos one is not for sale, it is for my own truck if I ever get it back together!
