How do i tell what motor i have in my truck and what year motor it is too?All i know it is a V8.Thanks Tony

There is a serial number on the back of the engine on top drivers side by the bell housing. There is also a number stamped in front of the head on the passenger side on a flat area on the block. With those numbers, there are a lot of web sites that will give you the info you need. Good luck and have fun!
