Steering shaft shortening?
I swapped cabs from a later model with no power steering and the shaft that goes from the column to the steering box is a couple inches big, is it possible to take this apart and cut it down to size? I loosened this one bolt but didnt want to break anything with knowing...

Thanks LockDock I drilled out the plastic and it still wouldnt budge, then I hammered like you said and it slid up real nice.
One more question tho, when you put the steering wheel back on, do you use the nut that holds it on to pull the wheel on as well?
