gas tank issue
I am in the process of trying to button up a few last minute things to hopefully and finally be able to start my truck it hasnt ru in quite a while. I couldnt pull any gas so i pulled the sending unit out and found a mess! Rust and junk had clogged the line through a tear in the sock. What are the suggestions as to how i should clean/ seal the tank??Any help would be great totally frustrated

Re: gas tank issue
Depending on how long you've had the tank, it may have enough corrosion inside to leak on you at a later date. I replace mine this last summer for pinhole leaks on the bottowm that were hard to detect. I could smell the gas but couldn't see any fuel leaking.
I highly recommend replacing if it's the orginal and is as bad as you describe. Here's where I got mine. Good price, good fit and made in Canada. http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,ca...CTRA%2BPREMIUM |
