Post side window install

What is the easiest way to reinstall a side window and regulator (elect)? Does the motor have to be functional to be able to complete this project?

Talking

Are you talking about the side vent window? If so and the windows are power windows the motor should work to make the job easier. The window needs to be rolled all the way down so the vent window assembly will go in easy.
What do you mean by regulator?

I mean the main side window, not the vent. And by regulator I'm talking about the entire lift mechanism for the window.
